Preamble

The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria with the Acronym PMG-MAN is the Umbrella Organisation for Drug Manufacturers in Nigeria. It was inaugurated in 1983 with twenty founding members, and launched by the minister of health on October 25th 1984.

Membership is open to any company that:
1. Has and utilises local manufacturing facilities for the production of drugs and medicines, from local and imported raw materials.
2. Is a member of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN)
3. Is duly registered by National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for drug manufacture
4. Is seen to uphold the tenets of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) which is the motto of the Group.

Aims And Objectives
1. Promoting the manufacture of high quality finished medicinal products and raw materials in accordance with the good manufacturing practice(gmp)
2. Improving the standard of pharmaceutical manufacturing in nigeria
3. Creating a forum for interaction and understanding between pmg-man and organizations within the same field.
4. Promoting and influencing drug policy with regard to industrial, labour, social, legal, training and technical matters e.t.c
5. Developing and promoting the contribution of drug manufacturers to the national economy through the representation on all relevant bodies of the government
